PRESCRIPTIONS
We would like to remind patients of the prescribing policy as there have been some queries recently. A prescription can take up to four working days to process and you will usually be informed the prescription is ready your designated pharmacy. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any urgent requests will be completed on the same day. We no longer take prescription requests over the telephone, but requests can be posted in the surgery drop box and made through your pharmacy. In terms of ordering for holidays, please request your prescription in no earlier than a week in advance
ZERO TOLERENCE
There have been increasing incidents again recently of aggressive, threatening or abusive mannerisms or behaviours directed at our staff members. Our staff have the right to be treated with respect and to feel safe at work. Therefore, the surgery operates a zero tolerance policy and any such behaviour will result in a warning letter. If the behaviour continues, this may result in removal from the practice list.
FLOODING INCIDENT
You may be aware that the surgery experienced an unprecedented flooding incident on the 22nd June 2023, which caused the closure of the surgery in the interest of patient and staff safety. While everyone remained safe, parts of the building did suffer significant water damage. We resumed normal operations the following day after the building had been deemed safe, but there are ongoing repairs and assessments taking place. We ask that you please bear with us while these are going on, as the waiting area and reception area may undergo some temporary rearrangements to facilitate the same.
