CONTACTING THE SURGERY

In last month’s edition, we published all the ways that you are able to contact and book appointments through at the surgery. We would like to encourage patients to utilise these alternative options as much as possible. These options were designed to fit around patient schedules and commitments such as work or childcare as we understand not everyone has the time to call and wait on the phone at 8:00am. In the same vein, we also understand that not everyone is comfortable with contacting us by digital means and if you feel this way, then please continue to contact us by telephone.

In addition, we are currently researching the implementation of a new telephone system in line with the new primary care contract changes, and we hope this will be installed as soon as possible to alleviate wait times on the telephone lines overall.

RECENT STAFF SHORTAGE  

Unfortunately, due to sicknesses and the recent strikes, we have been experiencing a recent staff shortage. While we have been working diligently to accommodate these absences, we are aware that patients have been experiencing a longer wait period on the phones.

Again, we would highly recommend using the digital methods of contact mentioned above if you are able to.  

We respectfully request that our patients be kind and courteous during this time and for any concerns to be raised in a polite manner so that we can work together with you on a solution.

EASTER BANK HOLIDAY CLOSURES

The surgery will be closed on Friday 29^th March 2024 and Monday 1^st April 2024 due to the Easter Bank Holiday. We will re-open on Tuesday 2^nd April 2024 as usual at 8:00am. If you require medical assistance during this time, please contact NHS 111 or if urgent, 999.
