Welcome to Kingsway Surgery

Kingsway Surgery was founded on the present site in 1958. Since then, the original building has undergone several major extensions and alterations and now consists of 3 nursing rooms, a phlebotomy room and 6 GP consultation rooms.

The majority of consulting rooms are on the ground floor with one on the first floor, all are fully air conditioned and all ground floor facilities are accessible for wheelchairs. The practice cares for over 10,500 patients and is fully computerised for clinical and administrative records.

There are 3 GP Partners at the Surgery, Dr C Duru, Dr F Anjum and Dr N Mahatma

The Practice is also a level three Research Practice.

FLU/COVID SEASON NHS UPDATE FOR 2025

As flu/covid season approaches, please be aware that the NHS criteria for covid vaccinations has now changed for 2025. Therefore, if you are under 75 and not immunosuppressed, you may not be offered a covid vaccination, even if you had this in previous years.

MEDICATION SAFETY REMINDER: We would like to remind patients that Paracetamol is recommended as the first-choice pain reliever for pregnant women, used at the lowest dose and for the shortest duration. It also acts as an antipyretic and is therefore used to treat fever. It remains safe to take in pregnancy.

SURGERY CLOSURE:

The Practice will be closed on Wednesday 8th October from 1pm due to NHS mandated training. We will re-open as normal from 8:00am on Thursday 9th October. Should you require medical assistance in this time, please telephone NHS 111.
Please attend as normal if you have a flu/covid vaccination booked on this day
